TrusSection Technology and Mortise & Tenon Joinery
We designed our Luxury Entry Systems to work as a unit, building strength upon strength for value, long life, and enduring appeal. We incorporate Truss Frameworks into our supportive sections, and we use mortise and tenon joinery in our Specialty Sections. In studies at Iowa State University’s Structural Materials Testing Facility, mortise and tenon joints withstood almost 5ooo lbs of pressure before tearing out. In some cases, the joint did not fail before the wood itself fragmented. Milling every material enables us to virtually eliminate gaps between glued surfaces, adding strength and creating form that is square and true.
